From Real Estate to Motorsports | My Journey Into Racing

If you had told me years ago that my career in real estate would eventually lead me to standing in the pits at racetracks across the country, working with race teams and helping businesses navigate motorsports marketing, I probably wouldn't have believed you.

But looking back, it actually makes perfect sense.

My businesses may look completely different from the outside.

Real estate. Marketing. Publishing. Motorsports.

But they're all built around the same thing:

People and relationships.

And that's ultimately what brought me from real estate to the racetrack.

It Started With Real Estate

I've been a Realtor in Las Vegas since 2015.

Over the years, I've helped people buy, sell, rent, relocate, and invest throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Real estate taught me a lot more than how to sell houses.

It taught me how to build relationships.

How to market myself.

How to create a recognizable brand.

How to communicate.

How to follow up.

And most importantly, how valuable your reputation becomes when you're building a business for the long term.

Real estate is an incredibly relationship-driven industry. The transaction may eventually close, but the relationship doesn't have to end there.

That mindset became the foundation for everything else I would eventually build.

Marketing Became Another Part of My Story

As I grew my real estate business, marketing became something I genuinely loved.

Not just creating a pretty graphic or making a social media post.

I loved understanding why people connected with certain brands.

Why some businesses were memorable and others weren't.

How social media could turn strangers into customers.

How storytelling could make a company feel human.

Eventually, that passion became JW Brands, my marketing company.

Through JW Brands, I've had the opportunity to work with businesses across different industries and help them develop their brands, content, marketing strategies, and presence.

And eventually, that world introduced me to an industry that completely changed the direction of my business.

Motorsports.

Then Came Racing

There is nothing quite like experiencing motorsports up close.

The first thing you notice is obviously the cars.

The speed.

The noise.

The energy.

But the deeper I became involved in racing, the more I realized that the part I loved most wasn't only what happened on the track.

It was everything happening around it.

The teams.

The sponsors.

The businesses.

The fans.

The relationships.

The stories.

The marketing opportunities.

I started seeing motorsports through the same lens I'd always used in real estate and marketing.

I saw connections.

Motorsports Is a Relationship Business

People often think racing is simply about winning.

Winning obviously matters.

But behind the scenes, motorsports is also an enormous network of relationships.

Drivers depend on teams.

Teams depend on partners.

Sponsors depend on activation.

Businesses depend on customers.

And everyone depends on relationships.

That felt very familiar to me.

The industries were completely different, but the foundation was exactly the same.

Build trust.

Show up.

Support people.

Create value.

Stay connected.

That's how I've built my real estate career, and it's the same approach I've brought into motorsports.

JW Brands Found a Home at the Racetrack

As my involvement in racing grew, so did the motorsports side of JW Brands.

I began working with businesses and organizations connected to racing and spending more time understanding sponsorship, branding, content, fan engagement, hospitality, and what actually makes a motorsports partnership valuable.

One thing became very clear:

A sponsorship should never stop at putting a logo on a race car.

There's so much more opportunity.

A race weekend can create content.

It can create relationships.

It can create unforgettable experiences for customers.

It can introduce businesses to new audiences.

It can bring people together who might never have met otherwise.

That's the side of racing I became passionate about.

Eventually, I Became a Sponsor Too

There's a big difference between helping other brands understand sponsorship and putting your own name and business behind a race car.

Becoming directly involved as a motorsports sponsor gave me an entirely different perspective.

Suddenly, I wasn't only thinking about what I would recommend to a client.

I was thinking about my own branding.

My own guests.

My own content.

My own lead generation.

My own return on the investment.

And my own responsibility to make the most of the opportunity.

It reinforced something I already believed:

The logo is only the beginning.

What you build around the sponsorship is what matters.

So What Does Racing Have to Do With Real Estate?

More than you'd think.

I've never believed I needed to put myself into one box.

I can sell real estate in Las Vegas and spend the next weekend at a racetrack.

I can talk about housing and marketing.

I can work with homebuyers and business owners.

I can build brands and build relationships with race teams.

In fact, each part of my career has made the others stronger.

Real estate taught me relationships.

Marketing taught me storytelling.

Motorsports taught me activation and partnership.

And publishing has given me another way to connect incredible people and businesses.

Different industries.

Same foundation.

Building a Brand Around Who I Actually Am

For a long time, business owners were told their brand needed to fit neatly into one category.

I've learned the opposite.

Your brand becomes more powerful when people actually understand who you are.

Real estate is part of my story.

Marketing is part of my story.

Motorsports is part of my story.

So are the relationships I've built along the way.

I don't want someone to visit my website and only see a Realtor.

I want them to understand the bigger picture.

I'm someone who loves building businesses, connecting people, creating opportunities, marketing brands, selling homes and spending a ridiculous amount of time around race cars.

Somehow, it all works together.

The Racetrack Changed My Perspective

Motorsports has taken me to places I never expected my career to go.

It's introduced me to incredible people, opened doors to new opportunities, challenged me to think differently about marketing, and allowed me to combine business with something I've genuinely grown to love.

And I'm still figuring out where it all leads.

That's probably my favorite part.

I didn't leave real estate for motorsports.

I didn't leave marketing for racing.

I simply kept building.

One relationship, one opportunity, one business and one race weekend at a time.

And somewhere along the way, the racetrack became part of my story.
