Facebook Ads
Why Advertise on Facebook? Anyone can advertise: There is a range of options for you to reach your advertising goals within the Facebook Business Page. The ads are tailored to your specific goals of who and what you want to reach.
The Difference Between Boosted Posts and Facebook Ads:
Boosted Post: is a post in your Facebook Business Page’s timeline that you can apply money to boost in an audience of your choosing. It is the simplest option in advertising. Goal is to get page likes, comments and shares. They are different than a basic Facebook Ad because they do not have the same customized features available. You will do three things:
Audience: Who do you want to reach - You will chose a target audience
Max Budget: You tell Facebook the exact max you want to spend
Duration: You tell Facebook the length of time you want your boosted post to run. Once you select BOOST and it is approved by Facebook, it will run.
Facebook Ads: Through Ad Manager you can create more advanced Facebook advertisements compared to a boosted post. Set specific goals and audiences. Goal is to get more interaction on apps, websites, video views and shop orders. You have more control in Facebook Ads:
Ad Placement: You can chose if you want the ad to run onto Instagram or additional Facebook locations such as stories and messenger.
Specific Objectives: You can chose between store traffic, conversions, and lead generation.
Creative Control: You design the ad. Recommend Canva to do that. Check out Mastering Canva for more information!
Advanced Targeting: Overlap audience types in the Ad Manager.
Do I use Facebook Ads or Boosted Posts? If you want your audience engagement on your Facebook Business Page or to develop brand awareness - Boosted Post is the way to go! To create more advanced options, Facebook Ads are the way to go!
Consistency is KEY in Facebook Ads: The most you post on Facebook Ads consistently, the more Facebook will allow your Ads to be reached to more profiles. Recommendation: spend $10 a day for 5 days at a time on an Ad. Do these weekly.
